Lighting controls specialist B.E.G. has expanded its UK sales team by hiring Matt Paynter as its new partnership manager.

Paynter will primarily focus on working with existing electrical wholesalers in the South West and South Wales and partner with new ones, providing free in-branch staff training.

He also aims to grow the German manufacturer’s network of stockists so electrical contractors can always find a local B.E.G. supplier and is tasked with promoting the wide range of B.E.G. products to end users.

Paynter arrives at B.E.G. with a wealth of experience from electrical supplies distributor Rexel, as well as previous roles with Electric Base and Western Electrical.

Speaking about his appointment, Paynter said: “B.E.G. have a reputation for manufacturing lighting control products of impeccable quality and once electrical contractors have used B.E.G. they will want to use them again and again. The offering of detectors is phenomenal covering 230v, KNX, LON and DALI with many more new products in the pipeline.

“My aim is to work with our existing wholesalers in the South West and South Wales and partner with new ones, while looking to grow our customer base to ensure supply can be met and exceeded in these areas.

“I’m also looking to create even more awareness of the benefits and innovative features of B.E.G. lighting controls with wholesalers by providing free sales training at the branches so they can pass on this knowledge to their customers.”



Cable management specialist Jeff Kerridge has joined industry leader Marshall-Tufflex as its new Regional Manager for the North.

Jeff, who has worked in the industry for 34 years, joins the Sussex-based manufacturer from Marco. He brings with him focused great contacts, focused industry experience and a wealth of product knowledge.

He will be leading a team of seven Area Sales Managers working with electrical wholesalers and contractors in the region plus liaising closely with David Burt, Marshall-Tufflex’s Northern Region Project and Specification Manager who works with clients on larger cable management projects.

“I’m really looking forward to helping my team achieve their targets and objectives and to working closely with customers to make a difference,” said Jeff. “Marshall-Tufflex has perhaps the most comprehensive on-the-ground field presence in the market which gives our clients fantastic support and me personally a great team to push forward with.”
