Seaward Electronic has updated and expanded its easy to use software package for the fast and acurate recording of electrical installation test and inspection data.
As well as ensuring the accurate recording of all test records and site details, the new PowerGuard Pro 2 software enables contractors to view and print out a complete range of test documentation for all types of commercial and residential electrical installation work.
In the latest version of the software the range of certificates available has been extended with three new certificates and additional NICEIC variants of other existing certificates, including the Fire Detection and Alarm System Modification Certificate, Domestic Visual Condition Report and Electrical Danger Notification (NICEIC).
The program also includes updated certificates for BS7671 17th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations as well as NAPIT, NICEIC and Part P. In addition to electrical installation documentation, PowerGuard Pro 2 can also provide certificates for BS5839 Fire Detection and Alarm Systems and BS5266 Emergency Lighting.
The comprehensive PowerGuard Pro 2 PC-based software enables test and inspection certificates to be easily created and stored on a desktop PC. The programme also has the facility to compile and print site survey forms and all documentation can be customised with the addition of company logos and scanned signatures.
A special PowerGuard Pro Mobile 2 program enables certificates to be completed while the test or installation work is being undertaken on site and also enables maximum Zs values to be calculated on the PDA.
Blank or partially complete certificates can be uploaded onto a PDA, with the test data being entered directly as it is obtained in the field and then transferred back to the central PowerGuard Pro 2 software held on a main PC at the end of a working day if required.
In both new Powerguard Pro and Mobile programs, easy setup and fast data entry features enable the type of documentation required to be selected quickly from the software's comprehensive records base. Once created, certificates can be e-mailed direct to customers as a PDF file.
Both PowerGuard Pro 2 and PowerGuard Pro Mobile 2 are designed to streamline the electrical installation test and certification process, reduce administrative requirements and ensure that reports and certificates are presented in a totally professional format.
