Manufacturers, suppliers and industry organisations gathered at the Palace Suite at the Royal Garden Hotel, Kensington, London on Thursday 25thOctober for the Electrical Industry Awards 2018. Organised by Electrical Times magazine and hosted by stand-up comedian, best-selling author and columnist, Ian Moore, the evening is a key date in the calendar and rewards a whole host of proactive approaches to individual achievement, technical innovation, and supply-chain collaboration.
Speaking at the Awards, Editor of Electrical Times Lisa Peake, said:
“These Awards are a great way for the us to celebrate all of your achievements this year and it’s fantastic to see such a great turn out tonight.
“The standard and quality of this year’s entries was exceptionally high and I would like to say a special thank you to our judges who did such a great job selecting the finalists and winners.
“I would also like to say a big thank you to our sponsors, as without their support these awards wouldn’t be possible.”
This year’s winners included Vexbox, Safe Connect, Holophane Europe, Zumtobel, Lutron Electronics, Megger, Signify, Navigator Productions, Tamlite, Orton Group, Brook & Mayo Limited, and Haydon Mechanical & Electrical.
Personal achievement was also celebrated with the Apprentice of the Year being awarded to William Stroud of RSE Building Service, and Outstanding Achievement to Newell McGuiness of SELECT.
This year’s finalists and winners were decided by a panel of industry experts including Helen Atkinson (ECA), Darren Staniforth (NICEIC), Peter Hunt (LIA), Frank Bertie (NAPIT) and Steve Brawley (JIB).
