CEF is thrilled to announce that along with our dedicated supporters, we have delivered on our commitment to raise over £1 million for Macmillan Cancer Support –  a remarkable achievement since our fundraising efforts began in 2020.

As at the end of December, we have raised £1,006,938.01. This achievement is more than a number, it’s a testament to the passion, creativity, and determination of everyone who has taken part in our fundraising journey. Since our partnership with Macmillan began, we have raised £1,260.252.48.

Over the 5-year period, we have engaged in a variety of imaginative fundraising activities, from head-shaving events and mountain climbing to football tournaments, golf days, cake sales, cycling challenges, raffles, and more. These collective achievements show what can be accomplished when we unite around a common cause.

Every mile cycled, every cake baked, every brave head shave, and every raffle ticket sold has contributed to a legacy of support that enables Macmillan to continue providing vital care to individuals and their families living with cancer. As an example, the £1 million raised could help fund 13 Macmillan nurses for an entire year.

Robin Tilling, Chief Operating Officer of CEF, stated: “Raising £1 million is an exceptional milestone that belongs to every team member in our business, together with the supplier partners and customers who contributed. I am incredibly proud of the spirit, teamwork, and generosity demonstrated over the past five years. Thank you for showing what we can achieve when we come together with kindness.”

Michael Stickland, Head of Corporate Partnerships and Philanthropy at Macmillan Cancer Support, added: “To our amazing partners at CEF, congratulations and a heartfelt thank you for raising a magnificent £1 million! Five years ago, we embarked on this journey with heart, strength, and ambition to support those living with cancer, and you have truly excelled. From regional football tournaments to cycling events and community coffee mornings, your commitment has been both impactful and joyful, significantly benefiting the nearly 3.5 million people living with cancer across the UK.”

We would like to extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who contributed to this incredible achievement, and we look forward to reviewing your suggestions for our next charity initiative soon.
