Hull electrician Joshua Lang has walked away with the title of ‘Electrician of the Year’ at the ‘On the Tools Awards’.

The awards, which took place last Friday, the 20th October, is the second for the organisers.

The awards were conceived by On the Tools to recognise the hard working and dedicated tradespeople that make up the construction industry. Alongside the construction community, the awards also honour construction-based companies and construction brands.

The ceremony was held locally at Edgbaston Cricket Ground in Birmingham, the iconic home of Warwickshire County Cricket Club. With a total of 320 attendees the night was a mix of tradespeople, brands and industry experts.

Stand-up comedian Justin Moorhouse was the compere throughout the awards ceremony where twenty one categories were presented.

Jewson was main sponsor for the second year in a row, with other trade specific categories backed by Redring, Wienerberger, Castle Homes, Leyland, NoviPro, and Norbord. Milwaukee sponsored the Electrician category.

A donation raffle and contributions made on the evening raised £2000 for Band of Builders.
