Data Reveals The Most Popular Van Types & The Ones You SHOULD Buy

Recent data revealed there are 4.1 million licensed vans in the UK alone! And with one in 10 workers in the UK using or depending on a van for their work – a total of 3.4 million people – it’s make-or-break for A LOT of UK businesses.
With this in mind vehicle security experts, ED-Lock has collected over 2,000,000 UK searches to find the most popular van models and the ones you should be using!
The results have found that the Ford Transit is the UK’s most popular van with over 300,000 Google searches this past year alone, closely followed by a Vauxhall Vivaro with only 3,000 fewer searches.

- New vs. Used: Decide whether you want a new or used van. New vans typically come with warranties and the latest features, while used vans are more affordable but may have wear and tear.
- Vehicle History (for Used Vans): If you’re buying a used van, obtain a comprehensive vehicle history report to check for accidents, maintenance records, and other important information.
- Size and Capacity: Choose a van with the right size and cargo capacity for your needs. Consider factors like payload capacity, interior dimensions, and seating capacity if it’s a passenger van.”

- To start we gathered a list of van makes and models and to find the most popular we used a search tool called Ahrefs to find the search results for each van from the past 12 months which gave us our most popular van rank.
