National recognition for PowerShield’s Safe Isolation training and SIPguard compliance platform, raising safety and workforce standards across the EV sector.

PowerShield has been named winner of the Best EV Skills & Workforce Development Programme at the EVIEs 2025, held on 2 October, recognising the company’s sector-defi ning approach to Safe Isolation training and compliance.

As the UK’s leading Safe Isolation training provider, PowerShield equips EV installers, engineers, and maintenance professionals with the competence and certifi cation needed to safely isolate live electrical systems before carrying out electrical work. Its unique model combines immersive classroom and hands-on training with SIPguard, a digital compliance platform that ensures long-term accountability, traceability, and alignment with regulatory standards.

The award win highlights PowerShield’s impact on both safety and operational efficiency. Companies adopting the training and SIPguard have reported:

  • Cost savings of around £150 per job by removing the need to outsource isolation work.
  • Improved audit readiness and regulatory compliance.
  • Reduction in project delays and stronger customer satisfaction.

David Chapman, Business Development Director at PowerShield, said: “We knew we were onto something special when we developed the concept of PowerShield, and we’re delighted this has been recognised with an EVIE award. This is a testament to the vision and eff ort of our entire team, who are dedicated to giving EV charge point installers the confi dence and capability to work safely, legally, and effi ciently. To win in the Best EV Skills & Workforce Development Programme category, against some truly outstanding nominees, makes this achievement even more special.”

PowerShield’s Safe Isolation Programme has already been adopted by leading EV infrastructure companies, contractors, and energy providers across the UK. Delegates consistently praise the practical, scenario-based training and the assurance provided by SIPguard’s integrated oversight.

One such client, EVC Group, commented: “PowerShield’s training programme gave our team the confi dence and capability to handle safe isolation work to the highest standards. The hands-on, scenario-based learning was invaluable, practical, relevant, and delivered by experts who genuinely understand the pressures of our industry.”

Together, PowerShield and SIPguard represent a new benchmark for workforce development, embedding compliance, reducing risk, and shaping a more skilled EV workforce aligned to the UK’s net-zero goals.
