  • Two years after launch, Allstar Chargepass continues to evolve to meet the needs of fleets
  • Near-Home Charging developed in partnership with Co Charger helps drivers without home chargers cut downtime and costs

Allstar, one of the UK’s leading EV, fuel and business expense payment companies, has announced the next stage in the evolution of its Chargepass product, strengthening its proposition by adding its near-home charging solution for fleets.

Launched to coincide with the industry leading event, Fleet and Mobility Live, this solution enables wider coverage for business drivers by providing them with access to a neighbour’s home charger, helping to simplify admin and reduce driver downtime whilst on the road.

Allstar Chargepass first launched in 2023 to bring fuel and EV charging together on a single payment card. Two years later, Allstar entered an exclusive partnership with Co Charger to introduce Near-Home Charging, designed for drivers without access to a home charger. The partnership unlocks connection to a trusted network of neighbourhood chargers, bringing convenient, local charging, helping drivers charge overnight near-home and save on average over 40%* on charging compared with public charging.

With Co Charger managing the relationship between ‘hosts’ and drivers, fleets can offer convenient overnight charging typically minutes away from their drivers’ homes. Guaranteeing access to a home charger once booked, payments are made with the Allstar Chargepass card, and costs are automatically tracked and consolidated in Allstar Online for effortless management and HMRC-compliant invoicing.

Tom Rowlands, Managing Director, Global EV Solutions at Corpay including UK brand, Allstar, said: “We’ve listened to our customers and evolved Chargepass to reflect what they need most. Near-Home Charging, in partnership with Co Charger, tackles the challenge for drivers without access to a home charger or driveway. Chargepass has become a solution that supports fleets wherever charging happens, near home, on the road or at home.”

Joel Teague, CEO of Co Charger, added: “Working with Allstar throughout this year has shown how powerful this partnership is. Together we’ve taken the idea of community charging and built it into a solid, practical product for business fleets. Near-Home Charging means drivers without a home charger can run EVs with confidence, while fleets benefit from lower costs and less driver downtime. It’s exciting to see this solution become part of Allstar, as it continues to grow.”
