The Electrical Industries Charity (EIC) is getting close to its goal of raising £120,000 in celebration of 120 years of support for the electrical sector. With just two months left to reach our target, we’re calling on our community to join us for the final push!

Since 1905, the EIC has supported thousands of individuals and families within the electrical industry. Our 120 Campaign aims to raise vital funds to help us continue this legacy, ensuring we can provide assistance for another 120 years.

Our incredible community have stepped up throughout the year – completing challenges, spreading the word, and championing the EIC’s cause. Now, as we approach the finish line, here’s how you can help us hit our £120K goal:

Take on a Fundraising Challenge
Is there something you’ve always wanted to do but never quite found the motivation? Or perhaps you have a talent you’d love to use to make a difference?

Think about what drives you: your skills, your passions, your ambitions. Are you a keen baker? Why not bake and sell 120 cupcakes? Love a fitness challenge? Run, walk, or cycle 120 kilometres!

Whether you’re ticking off a personal goal or creating something truly unique, your challenge can help raise vital funds to support colleagues in need.

Need a little inspiration? Here are just some of the incredible fundraising activities our community has taken on in 2025:

Manuel Puletti (Hispec) got his adrenaline pumping with a 14,000ft skydive over Langar Airfield in August.
Gary Hutchins (CEF) led an impressive two-hour spinathon for EIC Day in September, joined by our very own Jess and Tom, who cycled alongside him in support.
Chris Lees and Dylan Black took to the skies on a 1,200ft zipline over the River Clyde in August, accompanied by the EIC’s own Vanessa.
Rachael McDermott celebrated our 120-year anniversary in style with a Highland Fling bungee jump in May.
Chris Horne baked a delicious batch of cupcakes and auctioned them off, donating all proceeds to the EIC.
Team IBA braved the heat with a “Fire Walk,” taking on the challenge of walking over hot coals to raise funds for the EIC.
