Lucent Lighting brings precision and flexibility to SKIMS’ London flagship store

Lucent Lighting has supplied a selection of architectural luminaires for the SKIMS UK flagship on Regent Street, supporting the lighting scheme specified by New York-based HLB Lighting Design.
Located on one of London’s best-known retail destinations, the flagship offers a dedicated setting in which customers can explore the SKIMS collection, from everyday underwear and shapewear to loungewear and wardrobe staples. Designed as a welcoming and inclusive shopping destination, the store brings the brand’s full range together within a contemporary retail environment.
The lighting specification called for a discreet architectural solution that could sit comfortably within the interior while providing focused illumination throughout the store. Lucent Lighting supplied a combination of trimless downlights and track-mounted spotlights, using different scales and outputs to respond to the varying requirements of the space.
Flare90 Accent Trimless downlights, paired with LED51 Quantum High-Output modules, provide powerful, controlled illumination while maintaining a clean ceiling appearance. These are complemented by the more compact Flare55 Accent Trimless downlights with LED35 Quantum High-Output modules, allowing the lighting to be integrated across areas where a smaller aperture was required.
TubeLED Mini Quantum High-Output spotlights, mounted on three-circuit mains-voltage trimless track, add flexibility to the scheme. Their adjustable format allows light to be directed precisely onto merchandise and key areas of the store, while the trimless track maintains the crisp, uncluttered aesthetic of the wider installation.
The Regent Street flagship marks an important step in SKIMS’ continued expansion into physical retail and is the brand’s largest permanent retail presence in Europe. Bringing together SKIMS’ most extensive UK product offering, the store includes underwear, shapewear, loungewear, menswear and accessories, alongside seasonal collections and pieces from the NikeSKIMS collaboration.
Within the flagship, Lucent Lighting’s architectural luminaires help create a considered retail environment where the products and interior remain the focus. Precise optical control and high-output performance are combined with discreet integration throughout the space, contributing to a welcoming and carefully presented shopping experience.
