At Data Centre World 2019 in London’s ExCeL on 12 and 13 March, ABB will share insight into how data centre operators can enhance performance. It will demonstrate elastic infrastructure that scales up and down to meet demand, embedded intelligence that provides deep visibility down to the level of components to make automation easier and smarter, and intelligent grid connections that give operators more choice in how they manage their energy.

Paul Johnson, data centre segment leader for ABB in the UK, said: “The world is relying ever more on data centres, with consumer technologies, streaming services, Internet of Things solutions, e-mobility and 5G all driving growth. In response, customers need intelligent power and that’s where ABB fits in – giving our customers electrical distribution and control for flexibility and energy efficiency.”

Experts from ABB will share insights in the Energy Efficiency, Cost Management & DCIM Theatre on both days of DCW.

On Tuesday 12 March at 13:55, Stephen Jones, ABB’s Head of Business Development for the UK distributed energy sector, will present the latest developments in smart grid technology for data centres and grid connections.

On Wednesday 13 March at 10:45, Paul Johnson, ABB’s Data Centre Segment Lead, will talk about how elastic critical infrastructure enables data centre operators to adapt, change and reconfigure their architecture to meet changing needs. He will show how modular systems create power distribution and UPS systems that can be scaled to minimise CAPEX and reconfigured to meet growing needs.

At 13:50 on Wednesday, Arto Lind, ABB’s Business Manager for data centre automation across Europe, will explain how data centre operators can turn to cutting-edge automation technology to gain in-depth insight into performance of systems and components – and in turn make informed decisions to optimise operations, control running costs and minimise the likelihood of outages.

This year ABB is sponsoring the VIP lounge, where visitors can register to receive refreshments in comfort and enjoy time to reflect on the day’s events.

DCW visitors can register for free access to the VIP area through https://new.abb.com/uk/DCW-2019/ or search for the term ‘ABB DCW 2019’ and find the registration form on ABB’s landing page for the show.
