British outdoor lighting manufacturer Acrospire has announced it has joined Agora Makers, an international group of specialist businesses spanning exterior lighting, smart city technologies and urban furniture.

Founded in 2012 by Tim Barker and Hatty Stallard, Acrospire has built its reputation by doing things differently. Rather than trying to be the biggest lighting manufacturer, the business has focused on becoming one that customers enjoy working with, trust to deliver and are happy to recommend.

Acrospire is recognised for its expertise in heritage lighting, solar and off-grid lighting, illuminated handrail systems and EV charging infrastructure. From preserving the character of heritage streets to delivering lighting where there’s no grid connection, the business is known for making projects straightforward through practical thinking, technical expertise and collaborative working.

Joining Agora Makers marks the next chapter in the company’s growth, strengthening its ability to invest in new products, expand its technical capabilities and offer customers an even broader portfolio of complementary solutions.

Acrospire will continue to operate under its own brand, with Tim Barker and Hatty Stallard continuing to lead the business alongside the existing team.

Tim Barker, Managing Director of Acrospire, said: “Acrospire has always been driven by a desire to do the right thing for our customers, our team and the business as a whole.

When we met the team at Agora Makers, it quickly became clear that we shared the same values and long-term outlook. They understand what makes Acrospire successful and, importantly, they want to help us build on it rather than change it.

Joining Agora Makers gives us the opportunity to invest in the future, broaden our capabilities and continue developing the specialist solutions our customers rely on, while remaining the same business they know and trust.”

David Lelièvre, CEO of Agora Makers, said:

“With Acrospire, we are first and foremost welcoming a remarkable entrepreneurial journey, driven by Tim Barker and Hatty Stallard. This partnership marks our first presence in the United Kingdom, a strategic market, and opens up exciting opportunities for mutual growth.

Together, we are bringing complementary expertise to customers while preserving the identity, agility and customer focus that have made Acrospire so successful.”
