In the past Butlers has helped lots of different local good causes through volunteering, sponsoring events and loaning out equipment free of charge; last year alone we supported over 15 different charitable events!

During 2018, however, it has decided to do things a little differently and adopt a Charity of the Year.

This is because, as a business, it enjoys giving back to the local community and it’s something that it feels very strongly about, even thought it admits to stretching itself a little too thinly! Next year, by focusing its efforts on one or two charities it hopes to make a bigger impact to the work it does.

Butlers is inviting charities to apply and once it has all the applications in, a team will sit down and decide which of the applicants it wants to support during 2018.

“We expect it will be a difficult decision but hopefully we can choose a cause that we all feel very passionate about,” Butlers wrote.

The successful charity will be announced during a Christmas shopping and mince pies event at its electrical shop on Lions Way on the Sleaford Enterprise Park between 4pm and 6pm on Wednesday 6th December.

During the evening we will also raffle off a festive hamper to kick-start our fundraising efforts.

Butlers asks that if a charity or not-for-profit organisation and would like apply, please send an email explaining who they are, what they do and why they would like its support to by Thursday 30th November 2017.

The Christmas shopping event is open to everyone. To confirm your attendance please email or call 01529 302665 to be added to the guest list.
