Suppliers and wholesalers from across the electrical industry teamed up this month for the Merseyside Electrical Trades Association’s annual charity golf day, raising funds for children’s charities including Clare House, Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, Zoe’s Place and the Electrical Industries Charity.
Held on a sunny day in July, the event saw teams fielded by Hager, Marshall Tufflex, ProjectEV, Edmundsons and several independent wholesalers, with the IBA Group buying consortium taking part for the first time. Headline sponsor Ansell Lighting was joined by Aico and Wiska in supporting the day, alongside a team of volunteers including Andrea from Ansell, Georgia from Elucian, Dave McBride from Stearn, and Steve Fletcher from Teum.
The MET Association said anyone wishing to support the charities is welcome to contribute time, advice or donations, with more details available at www.meta-fundraising.com.
Next year’s golf day has already been confirmed for 8 July 2027.
