FireAngel drives support for UK fire fighters at RoFC Invitational Golf Event

FireAngel, one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of smoke, heat, and carbon monoxide alarms, was proud to support Rely On Fire Check (RoFC) as it hosted its ROFC Invitational Golf Event; bringing together industry professionals to network, take part in friendly competition and raise funds for an important cause, Fire Fighters Charity.
Hosted at the renowned Rockliffe Hall Hotel, Golf & Spa Resort, the day began with an insightful presentation from RoFC’s Christopher Carvell MIET MIFSM PCQI, discussing key compliance requirements and commercial opportunities within the ever-evolving fire safety and engineering sectors.
Fire safety, engineering, and construction professionals took to the challenging 18-hole course to battle with the windy weather and each other, with various competitions taking place throughout the day – including awards for the winning team, winning individual, longest drive, closest to the pin, and the “Beat the Pro” challenge.
Throughout the day, attendees raised £390 for Fire Fighters Charity which provides lifelong care and support to serving and retired fire service personnel and their families, during and after service. FireAngel generously matched the total amount raised, bringing the final donation to £780.
The funds raised were presented to Alex Byers, Regional Fundraiser (North) at Fire Fighters Charity. Chosen as one of FireAngel’s charitable partners due to the vital support it provides to the UK Fire and Rescue Service community, it reinforces FireAngel’s unwavering dedication to the people who devote their lives to protecting communities up and down the country each day.
Alex commented: “A huge thank you to Fire Angel and Rely On Fire Check for organising such a fantastic golf event in aid of us – and for such a generous donation.
“Every pound raised on the day will make such a difference to our fire services community, ensuring we can continue offering our life-changing care and support for fire service personnel and their families.”
