Established to recognise up-and-coming talent within the electrical industry, the eFIXX 30 under 30 awards programme, sponsored by Luceco Group showcases the next generation of electrical contractors who have proven that they are willing to go the extra mile to deliver outstanding service and results.

eFIXX announced the winners of this year’s programme, on Thursday 31st March 2022 at a virtual award ceremony and one of those worthy winners is Theo Webster, founder of Theo Webster Electrical Services Ltd.

Those who were nominated and successfully selected as winners have all contributed significantly to the industry, and as a winning recipient, Theo shares what it’s like to be recognised for his achievements and receive this outstanding award.

Theo says that he was drawn to a career in the electrical sector after completing his work experience. He strived to achieve an apprenticeship after his GCSEs and has never looked back.

When asked what advice he would give the younger generation looking to start a career in the electrical industry, Theo said, “Stick with it, a lot of people are finding it harder to get into the industry now. You will make mistakes, and you will probably get a hard time for it, but that is all a part of the process and it’s nothing personal. The key thing is that it’s okay to make mistakes, as long as you learn and improve from them.

“The best thing you can do would be to genuinely take a real interest in every job that you do. Over time you just start to enjoy all parts of the job and this will show in the quality of your work.”

Theo acknowledges that it was probably his diverse workload and his passion that set him apart from the other candidates, “I am very lucky to have a really diverse workload. One week I will be carrying out an industrial unit refit and the next I will be installing bespoke lighting in a high-end residential home. I have clients all over the south of the UK in all sectors of the electrical industry. I think perhaps I was chosen as one of the 30 because I like to think people can see I have a real passion for what I do, and genuinely enjoy each and every day no matter what it brings.”

Theo commented on having a brand like Luceco Group sponsoring the awards, “eFIXX as a channel for electricians is fantastic, and no doubt immediately caught the interest of several individuals like myself. However, having the support of Luceco Group, a brand that we all recognise within the electrical industry, has no doubt helped push the award to a wider audience. With this being the first time the awards were held it could have flopped completely, however it has been a huge success. Over time I can see these awards becoming more prestigious and I am proud to be able to say I was one of the first ever winners.”
