Ideal Heating launches first-ever installer-led MCS scheme for heat pumps

Ideal Heating has launched a new MCS umbrella scheme to help qualified installers get heat pump-ready — without the cost, complexity or paperwork traditionally associated with BUS-eligible installations.
Ideal InstallPRO – powered by dwellow, offers fully supported access to the Boiler Upgrade Scheme, system design and commissioning support, a dedicated project management platform, and a 7-year warranty — all backed by the trusted Ideal Heating name.
The scheme gives installers everything they need to start installing heat pumps straight after training, without having to become independently MCS certified. It’s all managed via a user-friendly app, with real-time guidance and expert support at every step.
Less red tape, more control
Installers stay in full control of their customer relationships, pricing, and materials. The platform includes job estimation tools, branded customer portals, and clear visibility across the whole install process.
There are no joining fees, subscriptions or upselling — just one low fee for design and umbrella support services. Ideal’s benefit lies in the supply and successful installation of its products — not in running the scheme itself.

Supporting the shift to low-carbon heating

How can installers get started?
Installers must complete an eligible heat pump training course (which can be booked through the Expert Academy) and meet a few simple joining criteria. Once approved, they get access to the app and can begin offering BUS-funded heat pump upgrades to their customers.
