InstaVolt, the UK’s leading ultra-rapid charging network, has just installed its 2,000th charger, powering ahead to roll out 11,000 chargers across the UK by 2030.
The pace of expansion is accelerating, in just two years, InstaVolt has doubled its charger count and is now on track to reach a 3,000th charger target in the next year.
This continued momentum follows the installation of its 1,000th charger in March 2023 – at the 23 ultra-rapid charger hub in Banbury on junction 11 of the M40 – and demonstrates an unprecedented and sustained growth strategy.
Owning and operating 13% of all public rapid chargers in the UK, InstaVolt is leading the way in developing the infrastructure to support the adoption of an electric future. Their pioneering approach ensures the company remains at the forefront of the EV infrastructure revolution.
This 2,000th charger achievement has recently been reached at a new six-charger hub based at the Co-op convenience store in Blackfen, in the London Borough of Bexley and underscores
InstaVolt’s commitment to supporting EV drivers in urban, high-density residential areas.
Positioned just off the busy A2 – a key route connecting East London with the M25 and Bluewater – this latest addition enhances access to reliable public charging in the capital.
Delvin Lane, CEO of InstaVolt, commented: “The installation of our 2,000th charger at Blackfen reflects our rapid growth and dedication to delivering critical EV infrastructure where it’s needed most.
“Whether it’s along commuter corridors, in tourist hotspots, or in urban neighbourhoods like this, our focus is on installing and operating world class, ultra-rapid chargers in great locations for the benefit of the UK’s 1.4 million (and growing) electric vehicle drivers.
“With 11,000 chargers planned by 2030, we’re making it easier than ever for drivers to make the switch to electric.”
This Blackfen site is InstaVolt’s latest example of strategic, needs-driven deployment, delivering fast, accessible charging to communities with limited home charging options.
This milestone also comes at a pivotal time amid growing national focus on EV infrastructure, aligning with government targets for net zero and increased adoption of electric vehicles.
