New categories to choose from at Electrical Industry Awards 2025

Following the success of the new categories introduced last year, we’re excited to unveil two brand-new contractor-focused categories for this year:

  • Contractor of the Year – Community Involvement
  • Contractor of the Year – Staff Development (including Apprenticeships)

The Community Involvement category celebrates contractors who actively contribute to social good, fostering stronger local ties and enhancing industry reputation. Meanwhile, the Staff Development category honors those investing in workforce growth, showcasing a commitment to skill-building, long-term sustainability, and empowering the next generation of industry professionals.

Our full 2025 category lineup spans three key areas: Products & Services, Contracting & Wholesalers, and Projects & Installations — ensuring plenty of scope to highlight your accomplishments:

Products and Services

  • Commercial Product of the Year
  • Industrial Product of the Year
  • Residential/Domestic Product of the Year
  • Lighting Product of the Year 
  • Trade Tool of the Year (including Test & Measurement)
  • Training Resource/Provider of the Year

Projects and Installations

  • Renewable Installation of the Year
  • EV Charging Installation of the Year
  • Electrical Project of the Year

Contractor and Wholesalers

  • Contractor of the Year (Turnover under £2 Million)*
  • Contractor of the Year (Turnover £2-5 Million)*
  • Contractor of the Year (Turnover over £5 Million)*
  • Contractor of the Year – Community involvement
  • Contractor of the Year – Staff development (inc. apprenticeships)
  • Wholesaler of the Year
