NICEIC, the UK’s leading certification body for the electrical contracting industry, has announced the schedule for the autumn/winter 2026 series of its CPD-accredited webinar, The Wire. The Wire helps NICEIC-certified businesses stay informed on industry trends, technical developments, regulation, and more.
The series will bring together NICEIC experts and industry specialists to share practical guidance on regulatory changes, assessments, schemes, technical best practice, and mental health.
The series begins on 17 September with the first episode covering the requirements of the Electrotechnical Assessment Specification (EAS). The episode will help to explain how NICEIC’s assessment approach will align with the EAS requirements from 1 October 2026 and outline the support available to help businesses prepare for the changes.
The series will also continue to highlight wellbeing across the sector. On 1 December, The Tools to Talk: staying well when life gets busy will explore the role everyone can play to create supportive conversations around mental health, recognising when someone may be struggling and helping guide them towards appropriate support.
Paul Collins, NICEIC Technical Director, commented: “Following the continued success of The Wire, we are delighted to announce a new series featuring six episodes and six hours of accredited CPD, covering the most important topics facing NICEIC-certified businesses.
“Each episode has been carefully selected to provide timely, practical guidance on new developments shaping the sector. The Wire webinars help attendees achieve accredited CPD hours in order to meet their scheme requirements, strengthen their technical knowledge, and stay ahead in a fast-moving and competitive market.”
The Wire webinars are free to attend and form part of NICEIC’s ongoing commitment to supporting certified businesses with expert technical insights.
