Park Electrical’s Training Facility brings Gira Training Academy to the NorthNews

Utilising their dedicated training room and with training rigs sent over from Germany – Park Electrical,played host to Gira’s Training Academy in May 2018 at its UK Head Office: Unit 3 Queens Park, Earlsway, Team Valley Trading Estate, Gateshead, Tyne & Wear NE11 0QD.
Gira – a leading manufacturer of electrical wiring accessories & intelligent building control products – were delighted to be given the opportunity by their UK Distributor Park Electrical Distributors to deliver their training outside of London for the first time in recent years.
The 4-day Gira training programme placed an emphasis on Gira KNX products, their parameters and how to program them, which included hands-on technical instruction, coaching and advice – expertly delivered in person by Alexander Gaertner from the Gira Training Academy Department in Germany.

Gira HomeServer: on-board computer for intelligent buildings
The Gira HomeServer connects the KNX system’s electrical installation to the computer network and the internet. This allows intelligent building technology to be controlled centrally via a large number of control devices, regardless of the user’s location.
This two-day course covered: Downloading a project from ETS, Building structure and QuadClient setup, Switching and dimming scenes, Logic messages, notifications, and archives, Camera integration to QuadClient., Visualisation, graphs, and time clocks.
