Pascon Utility Connections marks 25th anniversary with staff celebration

Pascon Utility Connections has celebrated its 25th anniversary with a special event at the company’s headquarters in the West Midlands, bringing together the entire team to mark a quarter-century in business.

Staff gathered for a relaxed afternoon featuring wood-fired artisan pizzas, giving colleagues the chance to share stories and reflect on the company’s journey. With summer temperatures rising, Managing Director Joy Smith arranged for an ice cream van to attend the event, offering staff a cooling treat throughout the celebrations.

A highlight of the day was the recognition of Electrical Operative Andrew Capper, who received a Long Service Award marking 18 years with the business.

The anniversary represents a significant milestone for the company, which was founded by brother-and-sister team Paul and Joy Smith. Since its early days as an electrical contractor, Pascon has grown into one of the UK’s leading Independent Connections Providers (ICPs) and High Voltage Private Wire Contractors.

Over the past 25 years, the company has broadened its offering considerably. Alongside its ICP and HV Private Wire services, Pascon now provides gas and water design and build solutions, as well as Pascon Professional Services (PPS), which delivers NERS design and CAD support consultancy to ICPs, IDNOs and CPOs. The company also offers energy metering and electrical services, with an increasing focus on the solar PV and battery energy storage sectors.

Marking the milestone, the company thanked its staff, subcontractors, supply chain partners and clients for their contribution to its growth over the past 25 years, and said it remains keen to engage with new clients on upcoming projects.
