Rexel offers one stop shop for site supplies

With the introduction of the PPE Regulation (EU) 2016/425, which replaced the current PPE Directive (89/686/EEC) in April 2018, site safety is in the spotlight.
To help ensure businesses and contractors are using products which comply with the new regulation, and ensure workers on site are using the right type of PPE, Rexel has launched a site supplies catalogue including over 3,800 compliant products. In addition, all the products will be accessible via Rexel’s 250 strong branch network nationwide for the first time, meaning customers can obtain what they need, when and where they need it.
Work related accidents currently cost the UK £180m annually. The PPE Regulation, which applies to manufacturers, distributors and importers of PPE, covers any device or appliance designed to be worn or held by an individual for protection against one or more health and safety hazards. Bringing increased levels of testing and certification for PPE and some important changes to how some products are categorised, the new rules are designed to further enhance user safety and improve standards across the board.
Key products from Rexel’s extensive site supplies range include protective eyewear, gloves, helmets and hearing protection devices selected from a network of approved suppliers – maintaining quality, performance and value for money and ensuring customers are purchasing PPE which complies with the new legislation and provides the right levels of protection.
