SLPTG is Proud to Announce Winners of The Apprentice Awards 2019!

The Steeplejack and Lightning Protection Training Group (SLPTG) recently celebrated National Apprenticeship Week, (4 – 8 March 2019) by hosting its annual Apprentice Awards ceremony. Members of SLPTG gathered on 7 March 2019 at the Park Plaza Nottingham to celebrate the success and outstanding achievements of Apprentices within both the Steeplejack and Lightning Protection industries. SLPTG are proud to announce the winners of the Apprentice Awards 2019.

Apprentices who demonstrated outstanding individual achievement throughout their training were recognised with the following awards:

  • Best Lightning Conductor Engineer Apprentice A.W Elliott Award – Mateusz Pierwola, Dawson Steeplejacks
  •  Best Steeplejack Apprentice Ted Fuller Award – Bennett Leather, Delta International

The Apprentice Awards allow SLPTG to showcase their continued support and commitment to the Lightning Protection and Specialist Access sector as a dedicated training group. The awards ceremony also allowed employers to join together in demonstrating their support for new talent within the sector, share knowledge of best practice and meet other professionals who also have an interest in the industry. The guest host on the evening was Professor Tim Marsh, a renowned international speaker in the safety arena, who was delighted to host the awards ceremony.

SLPTG Chairman, Paul Cripps said:

“The future of our great sector is in our hands and, by working together through the Training Group and ATLAS, we can safeguard the training and development of our workforce which will enable all of us to continue to deliver to the highest quality standards throughout our industry.”
