SOLARWATT links with Fronius for MyReserve battery training to give installers an edge in the growing solar PV market
Posted by: electime 23rd October 2018
SOLARWATT, the premium provider of photovoltaic systems, and Fronius UK, the inverter manufacturer, are to host training for the multi-award-winning SOLARWATT MyReserve solar PV battery to give installers a competitive advantage.
The free event, being held on 15 November at Fronius’ Technology Centre in Milton Keynes, will provide existing Fronius Service Partners and other renewable energy professionals with all the information they need to install and configure the compact, highly efficient, modular MyReserve and experience the SOLARWATT/Fronius system in action while receiving guidance from experts.
SOLARWATT’s strong UK team will be on hand to give an insight to photovoltaic installers on their two-part certification programme, the steps required to become a fully certified installer and the support available going forward. Places are limited for the session, so register at www.froniusevents.co.uk to secure your place.
Event details:
- Date: Thursday 15 November
- Time: 09:30 – 15:30
- Location: Fronius UK Ltd, Maidstone Road, Kingston, Milton Keynes, MK10 0BD
The training session underpins SOLARWATT’S ongoing partnership with Fronius, the global renewable energy solution provider, covering distribution, joint research and development activities, and including partner products in respective portfolios. MyReserve was voted Product of the Year 2018 in the Renewable Energy category by readers of prestigious elektrobörse smarthouse industry magazine, and won Product of the Year at the Intersolar Europe ees Award 2017. In June SOLARWATT received the prestigious German Innovation Award 2018 in two categories for MyReserve.
SOLARWATT specialises in the development of intelligent photovoltaic systems and MyReserve is completely modular, comprising only two basic components: the battery and the power electronics. Both are no larger than a shoe box and weigh a maximum of 25 kg. The modules can be easily combined and from a capacity of 2.4 kWh upwards can be configured to any size battery. This means that the SOLARWATT battery store can be used flexibly as either a home battery for private use or as a commercial solution.
Neal Goddard, SOLARWATT UK Sales Manager, said: “Interest in PV + battery storage continues to grow as consumers look to lessen their reliance on big utilities, and to maximise their self-consumption from clean solar energy. Well trained installation partners are essential to support our growth, and these training events are designed to provide the technical and commercial knowledge to help installers add value to their offering.”
