All former electrical apprentices, they share their advice on making it in the electrical world for those people thinking about making a career in the sector.

Why go down the apprenticeship route?

“My initial apprenticeship paved the way for me to travel across Africa, Europe and the Middle East, meeting all kinds of interesting people along the way.

“Having qualified as an electrician through my apprenticeship, I gained additional experience and qualifications which enabled me to pass through the ranks of approved electrician, supervisor, site manager, project manager and contracts manager, to the level I am at today.

“I just wish I could do it all over again!”
