WIT 2025: Powered by Tradeswomen, Built for Tradeswomen
Posted by: electime 25th July 2025
On July 4th, nearly 200 tradeswomen gathered in Camden for WIT 2025 (Women Installers Together) — the UK’s only event run by tradeswomen, for tradeswomen. Now an annual highlight in the industry calendar, WIT brings together women from across the skilled trades, supported entirely by our fantastic sponsors.
The feedback is in — and aside from a few grumbles about using a nightclub as a venue (lesson learned!), it’s overwhelmingly positive:
“My favourite event of the year.”
“Just the right balance between relaxed and structured.”
“Everything runs on time — and the prizes at the end are a nice touch.”
“It holds different qualities for different people… suppliers need to see how important this is.”
“A wide range of trades, ages, and ethnicities. It was excellent.”
This year, we did things a little differently. Instead of a keynote speaker with a prepared talk, beloved TV presenter Konnie Huq joined our founder Hattie Hasan MBE for a candid conversation from the sofa. It struck a chord: “Konnie was really open and honest — you could tell she was entirely present, saying what she was thinking in the moment.”
As always, the Roundtable Discussions were a high point — with topics like self-care, setting boundaries with customers and family, and making space for rest resonating strongly with attendees. Sustainability was also a recurring theme, with strong interest in eco-friendly working and greener energy systems.
The new Tradeswomen Together show on Fix Radio (launched as a podcast on 11th July) was met with enthusiasm and a flood of ideas for future topics. And yes — this year, even the gluten-free food options got a thumbs up. Wherever we go next, we may just bring the chef from The Camden with us.

WIT is held during the first week of July every year, with Friday proving to be the most popular day to attend. So tradeswomen — mark your calendars now for Friday, July 3rd, 2026.
To our loyal sponsors: thank you. WIT continues to be a unique opportunity to genuinely connect with tradeswomen. And for organisations looking to show their commitment to growing the visibility and presence of women in skilled trades — we welcome you.
