Dowsing & Reynolds has opened a new by-appointment showroom at its Leeds headquarters, giving trade professionals a hands-on way to explore its lighting, switches, sockets and hardware collections before specifying them for projects.

Open from 14th May to electricians, architects, interior designers and homeowners, the showroom has been created to help visitors see and compare finishes, assess product quality and make more confident design decisions.

Located within the brand’s working Yorkshire HQ, the space brings together a large selection of Dowsing & Reynolds’ design-led collections, including decorative switches and sockets, lighting and hardware. Displays have been styled to show how these details work together in real homes, helping trade professionals and clients create more cohesive schemes.

The showroom was designed and built by co-founder and product designer James Dowsing-Reynolds, with the aim of creating a calmer, more practical alternative to a traditional retail environment.

For trade professionals, the appointment-only format offers time to review products in detail, discuss project requirements with the Dowsing & Reynolds team and experience finishes, materials and lighting effects in person.

The showroom operates on a pre-booked, appointment basis, with bookings available online.

This ensures every visitor benefits from a relaxed, personalised experience, guided by a member of the expert Dowsing & Reynolds team – whether they’re exploring ideas, refining a scheme or finalising product choices.

Ally Dowsing-Reynolds, Co-Founder, comments: “We’ve always believed that the details you interact with every day – like a light switch or the glow from a pendant – shape how your home feels. Having the showroom here at our HQ makes it feel more personal. It’s a space where people can take their time, explore the details and feel confident in the choices they’re making.”

James Dowsing-Reynolds, Co-Founder & Product Designer, adds: “Designing the showroom was about creating a space that helps people really understand how these details work in real life. Seeing a finish up close or how light behaves in a room makes all the difference. I wanted it to feel  calm and easy to explore – somewhere people can take their time, meet some of the team and feel confident in their choices.”
