The BCIA announce Graeme Rees as the new Vice-President

The Building Controls Industry Association (BCIA) has announced Graeme Rees as its new Vice-President. Graeme replaces Terry Sharp, who took over as President from Jon Belfield.

Graeme, Digital Energy Marketing Manager for Schneider Electric UK&I and has been involved in the building controls industry for more than 30 years. Starting his career as a Project Engineer at Lidworth Ltd, he moved on to Bristol Management Systems before spending 19 years at Trend Control Systems, where he worked his way up from Regional Field Services Manager to Marketing Director.

In 2019, Graeme was elected on to the BCIA’s Management Committee and will now use his experience to support the President in building on the BCIA’s position as the leading driver of industry standards, professionalism and innovation.

Graeme commented: “Having served on the management committee for more than a year, I have seen the vital work the BCIA does for its members, helping them to tackle the huge range issues they face. As an assocation, we must continue to innovate to meet the challenges ahead and attract the next generation of professionals. I am very proud be appointed Vice-President and I look forward to help Terry Sharp drive forward an ever-evolving industry.”
