Trade works in THIS region earn the most, study reveals

Experts at Clear Amber used ONS data to find the average weekly pay, including overtime, for construction workers in the UK to discover which region trade workers earn the most.

Trade workers in the East of England are the highest paid in the UK, earning an average of almost £660 per week, including overtime. Here, the biggest upcoming construction project in the region is the Sizewell C Nuclear Power Station in Leiston, which is due to start in October 2024 and is valued at £34.8B.
South East England ranks second amongst the UK regions with the highest paid trade workers, with an average weekly wage of almost £650. The Lennox Point Masterplan in Portsmouth is the largest project in the region, which is due to start in July 2024 and is valued at £1.3B.
In London, trade workers are paid the third highest among all UK regions, with an average weekly wage of £648.60. Here, a £3.5B construction project began in March 2024, named the Thameside West Masterplan at the Victoria Dock.
