Tickets are now available for WIT 26, the UK’s only annual event run by tradeswomen, for tradeswomen.

Now in its ninth year, WIT 26 returns to London Metropolitan University on Friday 3 July 2026, bringing together tradeswomen from across the industry for a full day of inspiration, networking, support and community.

Free tickets for tradeswomen and women trades trainees are available now via Eventbrite:

Founded to tackle the isolation many tradeswomen still experience in the workplace, WIT has grown into a unique national event where women working across the trades can meet, share experiences and support one another.

The event welcomes all tradeswomen, women in training and those who want to better understand how to increase the number of women working successfully across the industry. Male allies are also warmly welcome.

This year’s event will feature:

  • Personal and professional development sessions
  • Inspirational speakers and industry discussions
  • Opportunities to connect with major companies and suppliers
  • Networking with tradeswomen from across the UK
  • Raffle prizes and goody bags
  • A free lunch for attendees

Headline speakers include Hattie Hasan MBE, founder of WIT and Stopcocks Women Plumbers, alongside Bonita Norris, the youngest woman to reach both the summit of Everest and the North Pole.

“It’s just over five weeks until WIT 26 and we couldn’t be more excited.

Items for the goody bags, generously donated by our wonderful sponsors, are already beginning to arrive, making WIT feel almost like Christmas for every delegate.

Every year we’re astounded by the atmosphere as tradeswomen reconnect with friends they may not have seen since the previous event. We started WIT to help overcome the isolation many tradeswomen experience, so seeing those connections happen in real life is exactly why we do it.

As Alex Tranter (RenewElecTraining) said after last year’s event: ‘I didn’t realise how much I missed this till I got it!’”

“We’re so proud to create this space for tradeswomen every year. We still meet tradeswomen who have never met another tradeswoman until they come to WIT, and many more who only get the chance to speak to other women in the industry once a year at this event.

Others make connections that continue long after WIT finishes, building friendships and support networks that are desperately needed when women still make up only around 1 or 2% of workers in most trades.

The industry is changing, but not fast enough, and WIT provides that essential face-to-face space every July.”

— Hattie Hasan

WIT 26 is supported by a growing number of organisations committed to building a more inclusive industry, including:

Organisers are particularly keen to hear from sponsors in the electrical, building, plastering, painting and decorating, roofing and carpentry sectors, reflecting the growing diversity of trades represented at WIT.
